Everything I Imagined of Irish Countryside--Galway

We really wanted to get out of the city and see the Irish countryside, so we decided to take a day trip to Galway. We found a bus (with help from Lucas) for 8 euros roundtrip, which was pretty excellent. It was a 2.5-3 hour bus ride each way, but it was completely worth it. Galway was definitely my favorite part of our Ireland adventure. It's everything that I imagined about Ireland--green, so very green. We were on this bus tour around Galway and the Burren. Our driver//tour guide was Paul I, as we referred to him as. He was absolutely hilarious and so genuine. Just listening to him talk about the places we were passing made me smile: he knew so much, and added funny, quirky stories along the way. He really made me laugh. He even took us on the roads less traveled by as in...we weren't exactly supposed to take them but as he said, "they have the best views..." It was definitely a magical experience, and no, I'm not just saying that...

I just love the bright colors and the contrast...

So simplistic

We stopped here on these small cliffs. It was beautiful. So many stones...so many sizes.

It was extremely windy--I didn't want to lose my hat!

The Cliffs of Moher: one of the seven wonders of the world I'd imagine. Insanely breathtaking; like nothing I could ever imagine seeing.

It was so windy I couldn't even keep my eyes open (as you can see). Me cheesin' in front of the cliffs. It was snowing at this point as well...of course, only adding to the amazing experience.

The O'Brien Tower on the cliff

The cliffs--so serene

Everything was so beautiful and picturesque; even the stone wall
Poulnabrone Dolmen: ancient burial site.
A lovely quaint medieval castle

Next up: kissing something of history...
